Important safety alert about flues in voids
On 2nd October 2008 the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) issued a warning about flues located in voids.
The warning highlights a potential poisoning danger in properties with gas boilers that are located on internal walls, where the flue runs through the ceiling void.
The HSE has become aware that some of these flues may not have been installed properly, or may have fallen into disrepair.
