CORGI will consider registering members who do not carry out gas work themselves but control others who carry out that work on their behalf; this membership category is called ‘Work Management’.
To register as a Work Management member you do not have to hold gas qualifications or have ‘hands on’ gas work experience.
However you will need to demonstrate that you can manage gas work safely. This will be by the assessment of procedures and control mechanisms in place to ensure that gas work undertaken on your behalf is done in a safe and competent manner.
This will be assessed by one of CORGI’s Executives from the Business Liaison Team at a pre-arranged visit, and the following criteria will be assessed:
- Business Registration information
- Business Profile
- Procedures and Work records
- Supervision and quality control
- Technical support
- Registration requirements of contractors
- Standards of Service (Complaints Procedure)
- Gas Work Notification (if applicable)
