As a school lever you will need to undertake a qualification that will provide you with all the practical skills and knowledge needed to carry out gas work safely.
You should undertake a National/Scottish Vocational Qualification (N/SVQ) in Gas Installation and Maintenance at level 2 or 3 – please note CORGI only recognize the City & Guilds award N/SVQ 6012.
Alternatively if you want to train as a plumber undertaking gas work you will need to undertake a City & Guild plumbing award N/SVQ 6089 (or equivalent) at level 3 including the gas option (ACS).
Vocational qualifications normally take between 2 – 3 years to complete depending on the level of the award. Once you have successfully completed your chosen qualification you can register with CORGI as a member.
