CORGI only recognises gas qualifications that have been issued through the following schemes:
- Nationally Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS)
- City & Guilds London Institute (C&G) N/SVQ 6012
If you are holding a current (less than 5 years old) gas qualification issued by C&G or an Accredited Certification Body and have sufficient gas work experience you should be able to join CORGI.
Remember your gas qualification will determine the scope of membership you can apply for, for example:
- If you hold a C&G N/SVQ 6012 – 02 you can apply for most domestic natural gas appliances and pipework inc. installation, servicing and maintenance.
- If you hold ACS certificate’s CCN1 and CEN1 you can only apply for domestic natural gas pipework and central heating boilers inc. installation, servicing and maintenance.
