CORGI launched its electrical scheme in 2005 initially to help its members comply with changing Government legislation. As the scheme is developing CORGI aims to bring the same broad range of member benefits to electrical scheme members as the gas scheme.
The CORGI Electrical scheme is on offer to current gas scheme members and other businesses who want to take advantage of the benefits offered by CORGI and can demonstrate the relevant competence and experience.
Join the electrical scheme now and get:
- Compliance with Approved Document P of the Building Regulations (England and Wales) when you notify your electrical installation work to CORGI
- The use of a nationally recognised and respected consumer brand
- Onsite support visits from your local inspector
- Free expert, electrical technical support helpline
- Great online electrical resource area and technical downloads
- Exclusive technical magazine with the latest technical advice, articles and industry news
By joining the scheme members can self certify their electrical work to CORGI – meaning that as well as it automatically being notified to building control, that their customers will receive an official CORGI Certificate confirming the work and that the business as being CORGI registered and complying with legislation.
The CORGI Electrical Scheme is a “defined scope” scheme, covering electrical installation work in dwellings. The scheme is open to any business involved in defined scope electrical installation work, for example, kitchen fitters or bathroom fitters who carry out electrical installation work in connection with or ancillary to their main work.
