Managing Gas Safety Seminar
Aim: To provide the attendee with an awareness of gas safety management systems and an understanding of The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
Audience: Housing professionals in Local Authorities and Housing Associations such as:

Objectives: By the end of the sessions the attendee should be able to:
- Determine how the combustion process is used efficiently.
- Be aware of the symptoms of Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
- Recognise the danger signs associated with poorly installed or maintained appliances.
- Discuss the general requirements of The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
- Apply the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to gas safety.
- Be aware of the levels of competency required for those operatives who undertake gas work.
- Be aware of the process of a Gas Safety Consultation applied to typical large companies.
- Recognise whether or not they have adequate systems in place to control gas safety within their own organisation.
- Understand and be able to apply the principles of CORGI's GASMAP to their own organisation.
