Prosecutions July 2007 

  1. Mr Withey trading as Handson Building, Renovations, Kitchens & Bathrooms, was issued a Formal Warning Notice by Buckingahmsgire Trading Standards inwhich he had to sign to declare that he would no longer misuse any CORGI trade marks in his advertising material.
  2. Ken Parry, from Trecynon, was served with a prohibition notice by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in 2005, but continued to work across south Wales. Parry was jailed for four months by Aberdare Magistrates for breaching the notice and for not being registered. He also pleaded guilty to making false entries on landlords' safety records. Parry and his company Ken Parry Heating and Construction Ltd, were served with prohibition notices after an investigation into their gas fitting work.
  3. Mr Edward Hadaway, of Simmons Avenue, Ashford, was sentenced to 240 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a charge of breaching Section 33(1)(g) of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 (HSWA) and ordered to pay costs of £500. He was fined and also served with a prohibition notice to attain a CORGI registration or cease gas work. Despite this, he continued to work unregistered, putting himself and members of public at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
