Prosecutions April 2007 

  1. Phillip Birchmore trading as PSB Installations, pleaded guilty to 2 charges under Gas Safety Installation and Use Regulations at Newark Magistrates Court on 26 March 2007. The investigation was brought about following information the HSE received from CORGI concerning complaints about Mr Birchmore working on gas appliances whilst not being CORGI registered. Mr Birchmore was fined £500 for each charge and ordered to pay £300 costs.
  2. Lakeland Underfloor Heating Specialists Ltd, pleaded guilty to 2 charges under Gas Safety Installation and Use Regulations, regulation 3(3) and regulation 5(3), at Barrow Magistrates Court on 24 April 2007. The investigation was bought about following information the HSE received from CORGI concerning a complaint about Lakeland Underfloor Heating Specialists Limited working on gas appliances whilst not being CORGI registered. Mr Major was fined £2,000 and ordered to pay £2,732 costs.
