The CORGI Trust

The CORGI Trust was established in 2005 as a registered charitable body with the key objectives of further improving gas safety for the public and industry throughout the United Kingdom and reducing the incidents of death and serious injury from carbon monoxide exposure.

The CORGI Trust provides information, advice, support and funding to any organisation, business, statutory and voluntary bodies and charitable/not for profit organisations to support the following key areas relating to gas saftey:

  • Education and Training
  • Research
  • Awareness Raising

The CORGI Trust also takes the governance of the charity seriously and ensures that effective and measurable systems are in place to monitor, evaluate and audit its funding and partnership support. Trustees have a commitment to ensure that information provided by The CORGI Trust is transparent and accessible.

The CORGI Trust adheres to its focused mission statement:

Promoting gas safety and carbon monoxide awareness through education, research and advice.

In order to maximise and focus The CORGI Trust’s work the ‘Blue Flame’ Strategy has been developed which outlines our key objectives for the foreseeable future.

How is The CORGI Trust funded?
The CORGI Trust has received funding from the surplus commercial activities of the CORGI Group each year and has identified strategic partners, both internal and external to the gas industry, to assist in future income generation and funding to meet the growing demand for programme/project funding.

No funding is provided by the CORGI Group from the CORGI gas registration or competent persons schemes.
