CORGI has been working with manufacturers and gas installers over the last few months in order to establish a list of gas cookers that correspond with safety specifications which can be bought by members of the general public.
From January this year the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) issued advice regarding gas installations in flats and other multi-dwelling buildings and required that all new flueless appliances should incorporate flame supervision protection on all burners.
In order to support installers and their customers, CORGI has worked with manufacturers and the retail sector to develop a list of gas cooking appliances that comply with the requirements and have flame supervision devices protecting all burners.
