£30,465 pa plus car and performance related bonus
CORGI is a diverse organisation concerned with leading standards in safety. It is the national watchdog for gas safety and its core business is maintaining a statutory register of competent gas installers in the UK. In recent years the range of services offered has expanded further with various innovative activities in the commercial arena with further growth planned.
We are currently looking for Inspectors within the South Essex area covering Basildon, Brentwood, Canvey Island, Rayleigh, South Benfleet & Billericay. As an Inspector you will assess the competence of businesses and their operatives for CORGI registration through questioning, inspection and analysis of procedures. You will also be required to assess the standards required for registered installers under Building Regulations Part P.
You must possess the City and Guilds Gas Service Engineer or equivalent, together with current domestic ACS certificates. Preference will be given to candidates who hold formal relevant qualifications although training and development will be given to ensure competence for electrical, plumbing and ventilation installations where required.
It is essential that you have wide gas industry experience with proven knowledge of Gas Safety Regulations and other relevant legislation along with knowledge of industry training courses and providers. This role may involve hands on work that would require the use of tools and some physical effort.
