The homeowner needs a copy of certificate when selling the property. It is a responsibility of the homeowner to ensure that installation work is notified.
Until 31 March 2009, under previous rules of registration, gas installers made notifications through CORGI on behalf of the homeowner. Notification was then followed by certificate which was forwarded to the owner of the property.
